How long is the Texas License to Carry class?

The course length for Texas state requirement is 4 hours not to exceed 6 hours with a proficiency demonstration.

What is the handgun requirements?
​
A handgun of 22 caliber or higher.

What do I need to bring to class?
​
Hearing protection, eye protection, comfortable clothing, ball cap and closed toed shoes (no open toed shoes).
How much ammuniation should I bring?

For the proficiency portion or the License to Carry class, it requires 50 rounds of ammunition. You can bring more if you would like to shoot after the proficiency test.
**If you would like to bring snacks or drinks for yourself there is a refrigerator that your can use.**
**We do provide fresh cold cuts (chicken,ham,roast beef,provolone cheese) for sandwiches; along with chips and condiments.**
